Rated R 81 min. 2009

It staggers around a little in the second half, but the story of a nerd (Jesse Eisenberg), a stud (Woody Harrelson), a babe (Emma Stone), and the babe’s younger sister (Abigail Breslin) on the road battling the usual horde of gore-encrusted zombies is generally a barrel of cheap fun, with decent enough dialogue by TV writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and high-standard direction by Ruben Fleischer, another TV guy. The Bill Murray sequence is the best thing about it. Not one second too short at 83 minutes.
