When: Jan. 30-March 9 2008

From Black Panther activist Bobby Seale to science fiction writer Ursula K. Le Guin and jazz trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, Berkeley public schools have produced their share of cultural royalty. Several local elementary and arts magnet schools will participate, along with the Arts and HumanitiesAcademy at Berkeley High. The festival starts with a reception from on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 5-7 p.m., and runs through March 9, at the Berkeley Art Center (1275 Walnut St., Berkeley).
