Let's hear it for the second oldest youth orchestra in the United States, the Young People's Symphony Orchestra. Founded in 1935, and conducted for the past 21 years by David Ramadanoff, the 104-person orchestra showcases three winners of the orchestra's annual Concerto Competition -- flutist Alexandra Bailey, oboist Sofia Dunderdale, and pianist Joshua Herman -- performing music by Vaughan Williams, Grieg, and Griffes.
