The city of Oakland is refusing to reveal what kind of guns that Lovelle Mixon used earlier this year to kill four police officers, according to the Trib. A Redwood City gun-rights group, Calguns Foundation, has asked for the information because the group suspects that Mixon did not use guns with magazines capable of shooting more that 10 successive bullets. If true, then the group could show that a gun-control measure introduced by state Senator Loni Hancock of Berkeley, which would limit gun magazines to 10 rounds, actually has nothing to do with the police shootings even though it has been sold that way. But the city has refused to reveal what guns Mixon used because it says the department is still conducting an inquiry into the shootings.
