"What Do the Women Say?"

Two-day celebration of International Womens Day and Support Women Artists Now Day, with a different spoken-word program each night. Tuesday's show features a reading by Palestinian poet Deema Shehabi; a staged reading of Cracking Mud is Pinching Me by the Jordanian playwright Haya Husseini; and a collaborative art-poetry piece by poets Haleh Hatami and Esther Kamkar. Wednesday's show features readings by Nawal el Saadawi and Shahrnush Parsipur, as well as a panel discussion about Middle Eastern gender politics.
