When: Fri., Dec. 15, 4 p.m. 2017
With 265 buildings in 58 cities, WeWork is easily one of the biggest co-working companies in the country. Given WeWork’s reputation for incorporating hip design features, art installations, yoga classes, beer on draft, and regular social events at its co-working spaces, it shouldn’t be a surprise that it’s also planning a massive community party in celebration of its brand new Oakland office. Guests can tour the space and then migrate to a big lot across the street, which WeWork rented for the occasion. There will be performances courtesy of Women in Music Bay Area, food trucks via Off the Grid, live graffiti by Griffon One, local vendors such as Oaklandish, and, perhaps most importantly, a hosted bar. Remarkably, this event is free to attend, but you must RSVP online in advance and agree to receive promotional emails from WeWork.
