It goes on just a bit too long and seriously loses its nerve at the end, but this helter-skelter comic road trip’s hilarious dialogue and timing are more fun than a bong full of Jack Herer. Small-time weed dealer Jason Sudeikis gets in a bind and is forced to enlist a pole-dancer (Jennifer Aniston), a runaway teen (Emma Roberts), and an incredibly innocent neighbor kid (Will Poulter) to pose as his straight-arrow “family” in smuggling an RV loaded with Mexican marijuana across the border and back to Denver. Along the way, director Rawson Marshall Thurber and four (count ’em) writers demonstrate an essential rule: When you show us a tarantula hiding in a fruit basket in the first act, it will definitely pop up later. Choice character acting all around, including Ed Helms, Nick Offerman, and Kathryn Hahn (109 min.).
