Two Women Say Raiders Coach Hit Them, Too

Oakland Raiders Head Coach Tom Cable struck his ex-wife and his ex-girlfriend, the two women told ESPN over the weekend. The ex-wife, Sandy Cable, said Tom Cable hit her twice in the face - once in 1986 and again in 1989. And the ex-girlfriend, Marie Lutz, said the Raiders coach hit her three or four times in January. Cable denied hitting Lutz, but he did admit to striking Sandy Cable, although he said it only happened once and that he slapped her with his open hand.

Cable was investigated for allegedly breaking the jaw of Raiders' team assistant Randy Hanson during summer training camp in Napa. But the Napa County District Attorney's Office decided not to file charges against Cable because a prosecutor said Hanson's story kept changing and that three other Raiders' coaches who witnessed the incident told a different version of what happened. However, their story that Hansen got his jaw broken by being bumped out of his chair doesn't appear to have been credible, either.
