Trib Columnist Says Something Obvious Again

It can't be a Barack Obama inauguration without a few banal sentiments from the Oakland Tribune's poet laureate, Tammerlin Drummond. Hey, have you heard about this guy Martin Luther King, Jr.? He made this great speech in Washington D.C. about forty years ago, about how people should be judged not by the color of their skin, but by something else. Think about it. And this is not just an exciting time for African-Americans, but all Americans! Wrap your brain around that! While you're at it, ask yourselves: Why, oh why, do Tribune editors dedicate their shrinking print space to this weak tea?
