Trader Joe's to Charm Rockridge with Snacks and Cheap Wine

Nothin' says affluence like a neighborhood where you can score house-made salumi, and where Tofutti bars and merlot are dirt cheap. The East Bay Business Times reports that Rockridge has scored Oakland's second Trader Joe's. By early summer, the shuttered Albertson's a block north of the up-Tuscan restaurant Oliveto should become a wonderland of pill-cup samples and teen clerks in Hawaiian-print shirts. Oh, and Berkeley? You've given your own TJs so much grief about wanting to move into a run-down auto store on University, don't even think about getting your tamari almonds here.
