Too Many Zooz is a trio of buskers that many know from the subway platforms of NYC and the impressive videos uploaded to YouTube in their honor. With Leo Pellegrino on baritone saxophone, Matt “Doe” Muirhead on trumpet, and David “King of Sludge” Park on drums, the group plays infectious tunes that oscillate between ragtime, rock, ska and hip-hop, creating a style that is very much its own. As innovative and fun as the music is — in one song, the central instrument is a car alarm — what’s attracted the most attention is the group’s performance, especially the funky moves of Pellegrino. His moves are so damn funky, in fact, that he is currently suing the videogame Fortnite for ripping them off. YouTube it; the game is guilty.
