Tibetan Chod Ceremony

When: Oct. 3-4, 12-4 p.m. 2009

In Tibetan Buddhism, the Chod ceremony is said to eliminate pains and problems caused by karmic debts, even those incurred in previous lives. At Rudramandir (830 Bancroft Way, Berkeley) on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 and 4, the lama, monks, and nuns of the Zangdokpalri Foundation for Great Compassion will chant and play music as participants lie quietly on the floor. Noon-4 p.m., $195 (includes four sessions over two days).
