Thinking Like a River: Art, Advocacy and the Legacy of David Brower

Fri., May 18 2012
Opening Reception Presented by the David Brower Center

David Brower, father of the modern environmental movement, pioneered the concept of using photography for advocacy. In the year he would have been 100, we celebrate his legacy with a special exhibition featuring the exhibit format books he championed, as well as stunning work from photographers Bill Curtsinger and Joseph Holmes. The opening event includes a reception and artist talk with Curtsinger and Kenneth Brower, writer and eldest son of David Brower.

Visit www.browercenter.org for more info.

"Thinking Like a River" opens on May 17 and runs through August 31
