When: Wed., Aug. 1, 5 p.m.-12 a.m. 2018
Temescal health-focused cafe The Well has been mostly closed since late 2017, but on Aug. 1, it’ll officially reopen under new ownership. With Anwen Cai Baumeister at the helm, The Well 2.0 will continue to serve herbal drinks, commit to local food sourcing, and provide workshop space for the community. But she also plans to create a line of organic Chinese teas, offer tea ceremonies, and function as a kava bar in the evenings. At the grand opening celebration, there will be live performances, art, and workshops and tastings by friends of The Well such as Top Leaf Farms, Alchemy Collective, Ancestral Apothecary, and Sacred Roots Wellness. Those workshops will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Brazilian drum circle, live music, and a DJ set to follow. Take a look around, try an elixir, meet Baumeister, and see if the new version of The Well is destined to become your future hangout.
