Summertime is all about the outdoors, anything to catch some UVs, and get your tanning on. Enter boats and hitting the water: Sure, we might not be anywhere near the Delta or the Russian River, but it doesn’t matter, because you can catch a boat at Jack London Square. Any day party that features Eighties music is a guaranteed good time, in my opinion, especially if it involves three hours of sailing around the San Francisco Bay with breathtaking views. This event is hosted by Fran Boogie, RNDL, and Papalote (prawn burrito, anyone?). Shortkut, Scotty Fox, and DJ Taco Emoji will be behind the turntables. Also, this is a daytime affair, so there will be plenty of time for you to recover and keep the party going.
Sunday, July 16, boarding starts promptly at 11:15am, 12pm to 3pm, Jack London Square, Broadway at Embarcadero West, Oakland, $35-$40, BayCelebrations.com.
