When: Thu., June 26, 6:15 p.m. 2014
The Chabot Space and Science Center (10000 Skyline Blvd., Oakland) isn’t just for children and families. Its Supper Club is a monthly catered dinner paired with different themed activities, intended only for those 21 and over. June’s iteration will include a dinner catered by Miraglia and the opportunity to control a planetarium show. Dinner — a mixed baby lettuce salad and either braised boneless beef short ribs or stuffed portabello mushrooms, followed by fruit tartlets for dessert — and wine will be served in the planetarium while aerial footage of the Bay Area plays on the seventy-foot dome surface. Following the meal, participants can check out the planetarium’s control room and even take over the controls of the show, flying to any destination in the cosmos and providing their own narration for the ride.
