The Shakespeare Hour: Othello

Othello is the second of Shakespeare’s most acclaimed tragedies, including Hamlet, King Lear, and Macbeth. It has a rich performance history and was one of the very few Shakespearean plays never adapted and changed during the Restoration and the eighteenth century. It is the first tragedy chosen to be read for The Shakespeare Hour.
