The Marsh Berkeley presents "That Don Reed Show"

When: Saturdays, 8:30-9:30 p.m., Saturdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Continues through July 21 2019

It’s almost a lie to call Don Reed’s standup comedy, sketch, film, and music show a one-man act. In another solo appearance, broadcasting versatility demonstrated in a successful Off-Broadway run of his East 14th and on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, among others, Reed bounces between multiple characters. Like a spectrum of colors in a Pantone “fan deck,” Reed’s performance sweeps across multiple generations and extends to celebrity impersonations. Most convincing and spicy are portrayals of people of color arriving in subtle shades, including the “too white” and not “black enough” definitions he has received. A laugh-filled, entertaining evening, the show’s depth is optional and comes on reflection.
