A team of oil company explorers in a drastically warming Alaska does not tread lightly on the land so the land treads heavily on them vengeful natural phenomena, including a "ghost moose" in director-cowriter-editor Larry Fessenden's okay eco-horror story. Fessenden's (Wendigo, Habit) Scareflix company specializes in topical shockers. This one, shot on location in Iceland and Alaska, is part Blair Witch, part The Thing, part John Sayles, and part The Shining, with dependably broad acting by hulking Ron Perlman as the oil man, solidly backed by James LeGros, Kevin Corrigan, and Connie Britton as his hapless crew. But the trailer is better than the movie. The clunky dialogue is cowritten by Robert Leaver.
