If you havent seen a Final Destination movie before, the basic premise is simple: a group of annoying but hot actors posing as not annoying, average people cheat Death, and are consequently eliminated one by one via sometimes creative, usually hilariously stupid methods. In The Final Destination, the fourth in the series, our cast of doomed twenty-somethings manages to not get blown up at a NASCAR race when disaster strikes (in admittedly cool 3D), only to spend the next seventy or so minutes dying in increasingly less entertaining ways. Even the 3D loses its appeal. Then again, so did the Final Destination concept ... two movies ago (82 min.).
