As romantic comedies go, this is the worst drivel I've seen since Nia Vardalos's I Hate Valentine's Day. Jennifer Lopez, weary of looking for Mr. Right, gets herself artificially inseminated, instantly meets charming hunk Alex O'Laughlin, and agonizes over whether to tell him she's pregnant. The two leads are appealing, but screenwriter Kate Angelo and director Alan Poul, both TV veterans, roll out the stalest gags imaginable (dog reaction shots, pregnancy gross-outs that cause O'Laughlin to keel over). Linda Lavin
(Alice) and Tom Bosley (Happy Days) are on hand to gratify people who consider 70s sitcoms the golden age of comedy (105 min.).
