The 5th & Final George Bush Going Away Party

When: Thu., Oct. 23, 8 p.m. 2008

We may all be wringing our hands over the coming election, but the prospect ending a long-entrenched Bush dynasty is still cause for merriment, especially in Berkeley. Thursday, Oct. 23, Kung Pao Kosher Comedy will celebrate the 5th and Final George Bush Going Away Party at Julia Morgan Theater (2640 College Ave., Berkeley). The show will feature Kung Pao founder Lisa Geduldig, comedian Ross Turner, gay Iranian comic Ali Mafi, and Aundre the Wonderwoman, an anti-death-penalty lawyer who also does standup. Wednesday's installment at the Brava Theater (2781 24th St., San Francisco) will include a Sarah Palin lookalike contest, so be sure to wear your rimless glasses and a vacuous expression. 8 p.m., $20-$30.

Price: $20-$25
