The 2011 State of the Union — on Weed

YouTube is so high. Pot activists dominate a presidential Q&A on YouTube this morning (click on "All questions"), driving up cannabis and hemp policy to the top of the list prior to today's 2011 State of the Union Address, which will stream live on YouTube at 9 p.m. EST. The Bay Area company asked members to submit questions to the President for an exclusive YouTube Interview to take place two days later, on January 27. They said:

“Why is cannabis classified as a Schedule 1 drug while the US Dept of Health and Human Services holds US Patent 6630507 which states that cannabiniods have antioxidant properties, making them useful in the treatment of oxidation associated diseases?” asks bearface712.

“YOU smoked pot and by virtue of being not caught rose to be President. Another fine young person may not be so lucky and have their life ruined by present law. Is this a reasonable position for the President of our country?” asks reznnrubber.

Pot activists did the same thing with a prior Internet engagement by the plugged in president. Obama has said legalization is "not in his vocabulary."
We propose calling it: "freedomization," then.

6,692 people submitted 4,677 questions and cast 105,719 votes as of 9 a.m. today. You have until Wednesday January 25 at midnight ET to submit or vote.
