The last time Tame Impala came through town, it would have been a miracle to snag tickets. The show, held at The Independent, was cleanly sold out in advance. Wisely, the Australia buzz band didn't waste much time coming back to the Bay Area, and booked a larger venue this time around. Recreating blissed-out Seventies psychedelic rock with crisp backbeats and ear-wormy melodies, the quartet's debut album last year landed it on a crest of critical accolades, which it's still riding. Openers Yuck hail from London and channel a Nineties/Dinosaur Jr. vibe with distorted guitars and a lo-fi sensibility. Catch them both at The Fillmore (1805 Geary Blvd., San Francisco) on Monday, April 18. 8 p.m., $20 (tickets still available). TheFillmore.com.
