Table Tennis Round- Robin

When: Sun., June 20, 2 p.m. 2010

This Sunday, the Alameda Table Tennis Center (2050 Lincoln Ave., Alameda) hosts a round-robin tournament. Players get assigned a table and an opponent; then, depending on skill level, the organizers move them up or drop them back until they are placed with a suitable opponent. The center opens at noon, but round-robin competition starts at 2 p.m. The table tennis palace has everything for the casual to the advanced player -- including sessions with a robot trainer, a machine that will pummel you if you dare call it ping-pong. $5, youth $3.
