Story Hour Series: Daniel Mason

The country in Daniel Mason's 2007 novel A Far Country isn't named. But in its soccer-happy landscapes, a girl seeks her lost brother. Mason's 2002 novel, The Piano Tuner, was made into a play and an opera, and will soon be a film. Having earned a medical degree from UCSF, Mason was a 2005 Townsend Fellow at UC Berkeley, where he is the March 20 speaker in the university's Story Hour series, in the Maude Fife Room (315 Wheeler Hall). 5 p.m.
