Steve Ignorant with Paranoid Visions

When: Thu., May 24, 8 p.m. 2018

While he has spent much of his life pursuing various musical and artistic interests, including sculpture, prose writing, and performing with groups like Current 93 and Stratford Mercenaries, Steve Ignorant will always be remembered for the seven years he spent lending his heavily accented bark and lyrical bite to the United Kingdom’s 1970s anarcho-punk band Crass. It’s a legacy that he has been more fully embracing over the past decade, performing the furious — and sadly, still relevant — anthems like “Do They Owe Us a Living?” and “Fight War, Not Wars” on stages around the world. This week, Ignorant makes a rare stateside appearance at Berkeley’s Cornerstone, where he’ll perform a full set of Crass material with the help of his buddies, the Irish punkers Paranoid Visions.
