St. Patty's Day Booze, Bites, and Shenanigans

If St. Patrick’s Day makes you think not of big parades or platters of corned beef and cabbage, but instead of knocking back unconscionable amounts of Irish whiskey, then here’s the holiday event for you: In collaboration with Eat Play Events and Catering, the waterfront Italian restaurant Lungomare (1 Broadway, Oakland) will host a tasting of three Beam Suntory whiskeys, each paired with a bite prepared by chef Craig DiFonzo. Small plate offerings will include salmon tartare with duck fat crackers, pork belly confit ciccoli, and a pair of aged goat cheeses. Special cocktails and prize giveaways will top off this self-proclaimed evening of “shenanigans.”
