Sean Penn is the actor’s actor. From his earlier films like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Bad Boys, where he embodied iconic characters that linger in the public imagination, to his later works like Milk, which garnered him the Oscar, one would think he would stay on the silver screen forever. Nope. In 2018, Penn released his first book, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff, and announced his retirement from acting saying, “Being a writer will dominate my creative energies for the foreseeable future.” Penn will be reading from his follow-up book which tells the story of a disillusioned divorcee and his ultimate showdown with a certain nefarious “landlord,” with government agents working against him.
