Scissor Sisters at the Warfield

Fri., April 15, 9 p.m. 2011
Price: $35

When asked what it felt like to be a Scissor Sister in 2010, Babydaddy, their multi-talented Guistarist/banjoist/pianist/saxophonist, had the answer. "It feels," he says, "like we're ready."

In 2011 they sure are ready to rock the Warfield in April. "Because of who we are and because of what the music is, it's almost like the formula is set to work," Boom, Scissor Sister's drummer told the East Bay Express. "More than anything, it's sort of inherent in the music that it'll be at least decent, if not good. And when the crowds are really electric, then it just boils into -- it transforms into something more along the lines of ecstatic."

Described as Sheer Joy, this band ecstatic is an understatement. The co-vocalist team, Ana Matronic and Jake Shears flash glam-pop electroclash performances that rival Hedwig or Elton John.
