Boasting an itinerary that includes Cambodian classical dance, Haitian ceremonial rituals, Turkish wedding dances, and dozens more genres, the 32nd Annual San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival is a passport to a world of dance. The festival is hailed nationwide for its quality and variety, yet all 37 participating companies, who represent more than twenty nations and cultures, hail from the Bay Area and Northern California -- a testament to the richness of our community. Six EastBay companies are participating this year, with Melissa Cruz's flamenco troupe appearing this weekend and Shabnam's belly dancers on the final weekend. Seven to eleven groups dance during each show at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre (3301 Lyon, San Francisco). All are likely to sell out, so advance tickets are recommended. Saturday and Sunday, June 19-20 and 26-27. Sat. 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sun. 2 p.m. $22-$44; kids 16 and under half-price. 415-392-4400 or
