Run The Jewels: A Live 105 NSSN Pre-Party, Sonoma Fire Relief Benefit

When: Thu., Dec. 7, 8-11:30 p.m. 2017

Before teaming up as Run the Jewels, rappers El-P and Killer Mike seemed settled in their roles as hip-hop lifers with respectable, influential careers. Both MCs were pushing 40, and with neither likely to suddenly start using Auto-Tune or score the guest verse on a Drake song, mainstream success seemed unlikely to ever come. Today, their partnership has become a globe-trotting hip-hop colossus with a massive following, beloved by their fans for their commitment to the grind — they’ve released three critically acclaimed albums in five years and played more than 100 shows this year alone. Just try to listen to “Legend Has It” from last year’s Run the Jewels III and not get pumped up enough to run straight through a brick wall. This Thursday, they’ll come to Berkeley’s UC Theatre for Live 105’s Not So Silent Night Pre-Party to benefit the Sonoma County Resilience Fund, which is providing support to people affected by the devastating fires in Sonoma County.

Price: $30
