Rogue Wave and Geographer

When: Fri., April 26, 6 p.m. 2013

Brands are always trying to get college kids to buy stuff. And what better way to do that (apparently) than with a free concert on campus featuring two bands you'd normally pay top dollar to see at a major music festival? The Sperry Top-Sider "Vacationland" college tour stops by UC Berkeley's Memorial Glade (in front of Doe Library) on Friday, Apr. 26, and will feature performances by local bands Rogue Wave (whose fifth album, Nightingale Floors, will be released June 4) and Geographer, whose upbeat electro-pop anthems will provide the perfect soundtrack for a sunny afternoon on a big lawn. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. with games (ping pong, prize wheel, croquet, cornhole) and distractions (photo booth, DJ) until the bands' performance at 6 p.m. We hear they let non-college kids on campus, too.
