The National Parks Service celebrates Richmond's role as a shipbuilding home front during WWII with its annual day-long festival. Featuring two stages of live entertainment, a classic car show, boat tours, a children's zone, vendors, booths, and lectures by park service rangers. Exhibits in Craneway Pavilion and the Ford Assembly Building hew to the theme "We Grow When We Come Together." Family-oriented music stage and a Children's Adventure Zone at Lucretia Edwards Park. Historic shipyard tours at Ford Point dock and Shipyard No. 3, plus a 3:30 p.m. screening of Casablanca aboard the SS Red Vicotry, the last of Richmond's 747 ships.
