Wetlands Restoration at Martin Luther King Jr. Shoreline Park in Oakland:
9 am-12 noon, Saturday March 8

Join REI and Save The Bay for a community service project to restore Arrowhead Marsh at Martin Luther King Jr. Shoreline Park in Oakland. Work will entail planting native seedlings, removing nonnative plant species and picking up trash along the shoreline—to improve habitat for wildlife. To volunteer, no prior experience is necessary. Save The Bay staff will provide all tools and supervision. Refreshments will be provided by REI, donated by Skylar Haley Company. All ages are welcome; anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Group size is limited to 40. To register and find out details on where to meet and what to bring, contact REI Berkeley Outreach Specialist Amber Hoffmann, 510-527-4140 x 216 or amhoffm@rei.com.
