Real Estate

When: Tue., April 24, 8 p.m. 2012

From the jangly, shimmering, reverbed guitar strumming of opener "Easy," one's instantly transported to the endless summer days that the members of Real Estate must have experienced growing up in Ridgewood, New Jersey. That song, plus the eight other tracks on the band's second album, Days, never elevate above that hazy template, a sort of East Coast interpretation of the California beach pop that seems to be so popular these days. Call it easy listening for hipsters (but in the best possible way) -- it's basically perfect fodder for outdoor music festivals. This time, Real Estate will bring the outdoors inside -- at the Great American Music Hall (859 O'Farrell St., San Francisco) on Tuesday, Apr. 24, with The Twerps and Melted Toys. 8 p.m., $17.
