Making its East Bay debut at Berkeley’s California Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 21, Infinity & Chashu Ramen is a local independent film set in San Francisco’s Japantown about two invisible spirits who affect and intersect the lives of others. Pork-dotted chashu ramen features prominently in the plot. Sobo Ramen (988 Franklin St., Oakland) will honor the film’s cast and director, Kerwin Berk, with a celebratory dinner on Monday, Nov. 18. Along with appetizers, sake, draft beer, yogurt soju, and other beverages, Sobo will debut two brand-new ramens. Fifty percent of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Ikeibi Films.
