Cobb, for whom Bailey was working when he was murdered, has never been our favorite city leader, and Zennie’s a real piece of work when he wants to be. But they’re an important part of Oakland’s unique civic culture. Skip past the tedious Martin Luther King Jr. worship and listen to them riff. It’s a work of art, in its way.
