Panel Discussion: "Three Professors, One Journalist, One Moderator, and a Drunken Boat"

When: Thu., July 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m. 2012

Brand new this year, Oakland-based Specimen magazine is concerned with the fascinating, often difficult work of exploring, examining, and questioning university life -- though thus far as a print-only, entirely two-dimensional publication. That all changes on Thursday, July 5, with the first panel discussion in its new series, titled "Occupy Our Minds: Politics, Policy, Perception," in which Berkeley professors of public policy Jack Glaser and Larry Rosenthal join a surprise guest and Tribune reporter Thomas Peele to discuss "what kind of policy change is a realistic response to some of the public grievances bubbling up right now" at Le Bateau Ivre (2629 Telegraph Ave., Berkeley). It'll be like college all over again -- except with drinks! 6:30-8:30 p.m., free. SpecimenMagazine.org
