Pacific Coast Brewing Company Celebrates 21 Years in Old Oakland

When: Fri., Oct. 16, 5 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 17, 12 p.m. 2009

From the looks of it, Pacific Coast Brewing Company is trying to turn Oakland into a veritable beer town. It just might work. This weekend the brewery celebrates 21 years in its Washington Street location with birthday cake, local bands, food samplings paired with PCB ale, a special appearance by Third Eye Blind guitarist Kevin Cadogan, and --here's the clincher -- "1988 beer pricing." Not to mention PacificCoast will roll out its new 21st Anniversary Imperial IPA, made especially for the occasion. The fun starts on Friday, Oct. 16, 5 p.m. on Washington St. (between 9th and 10th sts.) It continues through Saturday, for anyone not too hung over to attend.
