Yes, Outside Lands is officially sold out, but not in the world of Craigslist. And you won’t want to miss this year’s lineup, which features headliners Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nine Inch Nails, plus so many other bands that are usually headliners themselves: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jurassic 5, D’Angelo, Daryl Hall & John Oates (!), Vampire Weekend, Kurt Vile, Mother Hips, Band of Horses, Wavves, Fishbone, The National, Willie Nelson, Grizzly Bear, Matt & Kim — really, we could go on. The best part about Outside Lands is that there are a ton of bands you’ve heard of (but maybe have never had a chance to see) and many others you probably haven’t, and each year I discover a new favorite (Wye Oak and Father John Misty come to mind). To boot, the festival also has a solid comedy lineup in The Barbary. The forecast is calling for highs in the upper fifties, so dress warmly, wear comfortable shoes, and prepare for an exhausting but thrilling weekend of music and fog in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
Price: $249.50 three day ticket, $105 per day
