The third annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival will take play on August 14 and 15 in Golden Gate Park, it was announced today. The event, organized by Berkeley-based Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Productions, and Starr Hill Presents, in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department, will celebrate “the four pillars of Bay Area culture — music, food, wine and technology.” The artist lineup for the festival will be announced June 1. Last year’s event — which featured Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, the morning benders, Mastodon, The Avett Brothers, Band of Horses, Dengue Fever, Dead Weather, Ween, and many others — had no shortage of quality food vendors. And this year’s event promises more of the same, including Korean tacos, raw food, oysters, samosas, and authentic Mexican cuisine. Top wineries will also be serving their products.
