When: Fri., May 12, 6-9 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays, 1-6 p.m. Continues through June 17 2017
BCG presents CAPITAL, a solo exhibition of photographs by Jeff St. Andrews. St. Andrews began photographing the transitory environments and working class communities that dot the periphery of the greater Bay Area in 2009 as the veil of American financial stability was being pulled aside. Photographing from his own position as both a low-wage worker and as a highly skilled cultural worker, St. Andrews frames an experience of late capitalism in decline. What emerges is a documentary practice interested in the everyday struggles of working people in a time of great uncertainty. Opening reception May 12th, 6-9pm.
