Ohlone College Department of Theatre and Dance Presents Halloween Trilogy

When: Oct. 23-25, 8 & 11 p.m. and Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 8 & 11 p.m. 2008

What better way to spend Halloween than on a dark switchback road that winds around the Palais Royal, or in a desolate mansion with narrow vestibules and labyrinthine stairways, meant to resemble the mind of Edgar Allen Poe? This weekend, OhloneCollege's Department of Theater and Dance will stage selected works by Poe, Oscar Wilde, and Rudyard Kipling, along with a '50s-era 3D horror film. Called Halloween Trilogy, the show combines old-fashioned psychological terror with surface-level camp, and even promises a few optical illusions. October 29 through November 1 at the SmithCenter (43600 Mission Blvd., Fremont). Shows at 8 p.m. & 11 p.m., $8-$15. SmithCenterPresents.com
