Regardless of your best intentions, you know you’re going to eat way more food on Thanksgiving than you should. And you know what? That’s OK. You should eat everything in sight. But to counterbalance the holiday gluttony, why not earn some calorie credits with a morning run? The Oakland Turkey Trot is back for its second year, offering you a chance to get up early and run a quick 5K before heading home to baste the turkey. You can even run in a turkey outfit if you feel like getting a little crazy. The best news about it is that you’re also helping to raise money for good causes: Alameda County Community Food Bank, Running for a Better Oakland, and Oakland Education Fund.
