New Videos: Space Ghost Documentary, Emily's Army, Griddle

Lest you think we don't read your letters over here at the Express, after receiving a request from Kevin Seal of the Oakland-based band Griddle this morning asking for an "East Bay Music Video" section, I present to you, not a section, but a handful of some good local videos:

This DIY documentary about local producer Space Ghost provides a glimpse into his beatmaking process and life in the Bay. The big takeaways? Space Ghost is evolving his sound to be more danceable, and he loves cats, skateboards, and tacos (a man after my own heart).

Adorable East Bay punkers Emily's Army — the heir to Green Day's legacy (in sound and because Billie Joe Armstrong's son is in the band) — released its video for "The Rescuers," a track off its new album Lost At Seventeen. The three guys look like they're cutting sixth period to go release some teen angst in a dilapidated, graffiti-strewn warehouse.

And finally, here's the psychedelic trip of a music video from Griddle. It's got a Peter Gabriel "Sledgehammer" vibe to it.
