Nerd Nite East Bay: Peculiar Probability, Science Songs, Juvenile Justice

When: Mon., July 25 2016

At 7PM on the last Monday of every month, Nerd Nite plies smart and interesting people with drinks and puts them on stage in front of tipsy nerds at Club 21 in Oakland. This month:

 • UC Berkeley Professor of Statistics David Aldous looks at how probability can inform us about everything from aliens to the number of candidates for the Republican Presidential nomination;
 • The Ten Thousand Ways sings songs about science (Miley Cyrus + reproducibility? Yes!);
 • Cat Willett reviews the history of the juvenile justice system.

Be there and be square.
