Born to French and British parents in Paris in 1928, Nathaniel Tarn has been one of the English language's most prolific poets and translators, authoring more than two dozen books including Scandals in the House of Birds, Where Babylon Ends, The Architextures, The Contradictions,and Lyrics for the Bride of God. The Rockefeller Foundation fellow and Rutgers professor reads from his work at Moe's Books (2476 Telegraph Ave., Berkeley) on Oct. 23. 7:30 p.m.
