Mother’s Day has come and gone but thankfully, mothers — or memories of them — rarely disappear. Writer/performer Wayne Harris teams up with composer/musician Randy Craig and other musicians with this rousing “Best of Fringe 2012” reprise. Given an extended run at The Marsh in 2015, the well-noticed Mother’s Milk: A Blues and Gospel Play in 3 Acts again this year features original songs and storytelling about family, faith — and lip-smacking-good Banana Pudding recipes. It’s all set against a rugged backdrop of civil rights, illness, loss, love, and a young black man’s hard-fought path to reconciliation. Souls discovered float on an ocean of fine tunes and traditional songs. If you missed Harris previously (or miss your mom), don’t make the same mistake twice. Go get yourself some mother’s milk.
