Morricone Youth Live Re-Scores Mad Max (1979)

NYC's MORRICONE YOUTH performs its original live re-score of George Miller's "Mad Max" (1979) at Alamo Drafthouse New Mission on August 8th, 7pm. Formed in 1999 with the mission statement to compose, re-interpret, perform and record "music written for the moving image" (film soundtracks and library music), including live re-scoring 15 silent films and midnight movies (e.g. Battleship Potemkin, Nosferatu, Eraserhead and Fantastic Planet) and embarking on an ambitious 15-release vinyl series for each film, the first four (Mad Max, Night of the Living Dead, Sunrise, Prince Achmed) were released in 2016 & 2017 with Danger: Diabolik due in September.
